In the dead of night on June 11, 1962, three men began a trek across San Francisco Bay in the hopes of escaping one of America’s most notorious prisons. To test such a theory, the Mythbusters built a raft of the exact dimensions and materials specified by the men and set out one cold night across the Bay.
